Youngest of 7 children

Graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas

Graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Academic Studies and an Elementary Teaching Certificate 1996 and with a Masters of Education in School Counseling 2003

My experience in education includes 5 years as a first, second, and third grade teacher and 16 years as a school counselor.  I have worked at every grade level as a school counselor, PK-12th grade.  Each grade level presents unique experiences and challenges but I have enjoyed and learned from every one of them!

I have been married for 33 years and have two beautiful daughters and a lap dog, Daisy.
